Our Story

Thangka grows from the Tibetan devotion to the painted image — Tibet's long river of time laid onto canvas. We have worked at this art patiently: seeking out master painters on the plateau, keeping to the old methods, following the traditional rites of composition, choosing natural mineral pigments and drawing colour from stone. Every stroke is set down by hand, by painters of the orthodox lineage, in a spirit of reverence — so that the solemn beauty of thangka is preserved. Each painting is filled with devotion and awe.

We do not chase fast mass production, nor showy effect; we stay faithful to the colour and spirit of the original. Through a single thangka we hope to carry Tibet's culture, stillness and blessing to everyone who loves this art, so that more people may meet this heritage beauty.
